SSA Electronic Consent (E-Signature) Enhancements Coming Soon
Enroll on the SSA Web Site Starting Tomorrow, July 17th, 2019
Enhancements are on the horizon for those of you that offer SSA validation services in EPN. As you may know, the SSA is planning to begin accepting consumer consent electronically next year. The initial release of this new time-saving enhancement will begin in the summer of 2020.
The SSA is offering an enrollment period for authorized SSA providers (or “permitted entities”) where they will select a limited number of permitted entities to partake in the electronic consent pilot program. If you want to be a part of the early enrollment, click the link below to read about it, and to apply to get your company into the first phase.

Enrollment/Application Period
Permitted entities that want to be considered for the first phase can submit the completed documentation beginning July 17, 2019, at 6:00 a.m. EST to ecbsv@ssa.gov, but no later than July 31, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. EST.
The SSA is stating that those who choose to not enroll now may have to wait approximately two years before there is another enrollment period.
With this in mind, we strongly suggest that you secure your competitive today by filling out the application and submitting it to the SSA. If your application is accepted, please keep us in the loop with technical provider needs, including integration specs.
