Follow up: IRS e-Services Enhancements
for Auto ID Assignment

Get Your Auto ID Assigned Today!

Following up on our bulletin we sent you last week, the IRS is assigning Auto IDs to IVES participants and service providers.  A number of you have already contacted the IRS and been assigned your Auto IDs.

For those of you that don’t have your Auto ID yet, we recommend that you follow the instructions that were sent to you by the IRS to get your Auto ID assigned.  If you are asked for the Name of Software Provider and URL, please provide the IRS with:When the IRS assigns it, they may deliver your Auto ID to your SOR mailbox.  If they do, the IRS Processor will attempt to pick it up like a transcript, and it may cause a temporary slowdown with transcript delivery.  We will be monitoring and correcting these issues as best we can, but if you see your Auto ID in your mailbox before we do, just let us know.

Once you receive your Auto ID, please send it to us at the email address here.  We will then get it setup in advance of the e-Services enhancements coming in June.

Please note that the IRS is making continuous changes to their transcript delivery system in anticipation of the e-Services enhancements next month.  They are not providing advance notice of these changes.  We are addressing their changes as they arise to minimize and rectify any issues or interruptions.
