EPN Settlement Services Enhancements

End-to-End Custom Automated Workflows Available in Beta Release
The EPN settlement services platform now allows you to create smart, fast custom workflows for your lenders that evaluate returned data, then automatically order additional products. The custom workflow feature is in a limited beta release at this time.

The custom workflow feature goes beyond the AVM workflow by taking into account all different vendor and product types for evaluation.  When the workflow completes an evaluation of returned vendor data, it moves forward automatically, taking one of two paths which can be set on the branch of the lender.  Depending on setup, the remaining products will be ordered at the same time, with multiple outputs being returned, reducing the need to order products individually and increasing the efficiency of end-to-end loan processing.
  • To ensure the best possible experience, this feature is enabled on a case by case basis.  If you are interested in a demo and enabling this for clients, contact Customer Service at (800)452-1174 option 4, or Support@EPNSolutions.com
  • Learn more about the user experience for custom workflows by reviewing this Beta Release User Training Guide.
Easier Management of AVM Workflows
If you haven’t been offering your clients AVM workflows, now is the time to do so! With much easier AVM workflow management features, you can view and edit client AVM workflows just like any other vendor. This includes organizing the order that AVM workflows are presented to clients if you offer more than one, only offering AVM workflows to the branches that order them, and more.

How to use this feature:
Login as a manager to EPN, click the Client Setup menu option, click a client that orders AVM workflows, then move to the Vendors tab (wrench icon).  In the AVM section, you will now see an AVM Workflows option.  You can click the AVM Workflow entry to edit vendor information, including adding/removing/sorting products, and editing which branches should have access to this vendor and which should not.

Make Vendors’ Products Available Faster with New Add All Products Button
We have made it easier for you and your clients to make vendor products available to the users that need them. When working with vendors’ products – whether setting up vendor products for lenders or making vendor products available to branches – the new Add All button will instantly make all vendor products available as Current Products. This makes product availability a breeze: instead of clicking on each individual product, users can simply click one button to accomplish this task.

How to use this feature:
Login as a manager user, click the Client Setup menu option, click on a client name, then move to the Vendors tab (wrench icon).  Click on the vendor you want to work with, and when the System Vendor screen opens, click the Add, Remove, or Sort Products button.  In the Available Products section, find the Add All button.  Click this button to set all available vendor products as Current Products, which instantly will make all this vendor products available to be set on all branches under this vendor. You can then edit an individual branch’s vendor and products to associate products with the branch, making them available to be ordered by all branch users.

Important Notes
  • Note that managers can also use the Add All products button when making a vendor and products available at the lender level by clicking the Vendor Setup menu, expanding a vendor type and selecting a vendor, clicking the Add, Remove, or Sort Products button, and view the Available Products section to work with the Add All button.
  • Client Administrator users can also access the Add All products button when making vendor products available to branches under the Add, Remove, or Sort Products screen.

TVP Enhancements

New Batch Cover Sheets for Qualified/Non-Qualified Transactions
As an IVES Participant, you likely know that the IRS will require a new cover sheet starting March 1st, 2020 on all batch orders.  The new batch cover sheet is used to pass information on Qualified and Non-Qualified 4506-T requests.  The IRS definition of a Qualified transaction is:
  • “A disclosure…of return or returns by the IRS to a person seeking to verify the income or creditworthiness of a taxpayer who is a borrower in the process of a loan application.”
Our goal is to make this change as seamless as possible for you while providing an easy way to make sure you meet this requirement.  Nearly all (if not all) your clients use TVP to order tax transcripts for loan application purposes to verify income, and therefore are defined as Qualified transactions.  With this in mind, this TVP update will default to utilize the Qualified batch cover sheet to assist you best.

How to use this feature:
There is nothing you need to do to enable this feature: the new Qualified batch cover sheet will be enabled and available to you starting February 28th.  When you use the TVP application to submit batch requests to the IRS, this new cover sheet will automatically be available.

Number of Batch Requests Reduced to 35 Per IRS Requirements
Along with Qualified/Non-Qualified indicators on March 1st 2020, the IRS is also limiting the number of batch requests that can be sent at once.  To accommodate this requirement, the TVP application’s Quick Send and Custom Batch features will now only allow 35 requests to be sent in a batch at once.

How to use this feature:
There is nothing you need to do here. The TVP application will automatically limit the number of requests included in a batch to 35 requests, both from the Custom Batch and Quick Send options.
