SharperLending has made it very easy to take Appraisal Firewall, brand it to your liking, and sell it with your brand to your clients and prospects. This document covers the technical aspects of doing this as well as the business/PR/Marketing side of your offering. Aside from being simple to implement, there is no cost to private labeling Appraisal Firewall for your company.

Technical Details

The sections below detail how to setup all the Private Label features in Appraisal Firewall. Please note that three of the Private Labeling features happen by default and do not require any setup or maintenance on your side. They are:

1. Customer Service drop downs on Messages go to your corporate email address.

  • This occurs by default whenever a lender or an appraiser is logged in under your company account and sends a message: it will always go to the email address that is setup on your main Profile screen.

2. Automatically generated emails always include your domain name.

  • Whatever domain is listed on your main Profile screen will be used to send emails (i.e., If you enter appraisals@yourcompany.com as your email address, all customer service emails to your users will reflect this).

3. Customer Service contact information available from Help Center

  • Your Company Name, Phone Number, and Email Address are available to all users from the Help Center/Question Mark drop down. Any user - Lender or Appraiser - can click this link to view your contact information.

The rest of these sections require your manual intervention and input to complete the Private Labeling process in Appraisal Firewall - and to make the Appraisal Firewall offering consistent with your branding.

Get Your Own Branded Account

1. Visit www.AppraisalFirewall.com.

2. Enter your company Email Name and Password that were provided to you by SharperLending, and login. You will be logged into Appraisal Firewall as your Customer Service Manager company.

3. Once logged in, click the gear icon in the upper left-hand side of the screen. This opens your Management and Credit Card Processing screen.

4. You will want to pay attention to the Credit Card Processing, Private Label, and UCDP & FHA EAD Direct Integration Credentials sections to complete your private label.

Credit Card Processing

Start with the Credit Card Processing section. Here, you need to enter your Authorize.net merchant account credentials into Appraisal Firewall so that your brand is responsible for credit card clearing for your clients and payment to appraisers.

1. In the Credit Card Processing section, select your Processing Center. Right now, the only option that is supported here is Authorize.net.

2. Enter your Account Name, Login ID, and Transaction Key for Authorize.net.

3. Check the checkboxes for the types of credit cards that are supported on yourAuthorize.net account. This also includes the ability to allow for Bank Account and eChecks.

4. At the bottom of the screen, Save your changes.

A private labeled sign-in link directs your clients and your appraisers to your customer service account in Appraisal Firewall. If you have clients that want to use Appraisal Firewall, the Sign In Link can be placed on your branded corporate web site so that your clients can login from there. Follow these quick instructions to do this.

1. In the Private Label section, find the Sign In Link. You can copy the link from this screen and paste in into the HTML code on your web site. Both lenders and appraisers can sign into your site from this link. Note that this link is an actual hyperlink that you can click to view what your clients will see when they open the link from your web site.

2. You will want to have a "Login" button on your own corporate web site that you can use this Sign In Link on. Here is an example of a login button. When you have that done, proceed to Step #3 here.

3. Highlight the Sign In link, copy it, then paste it into a hyperlink reference in your HTML code on your corporate page's web site that corresponds to a Login button, as exemplified above. It would look something like this:

<a href="https://www.appraisalfirewall.com/AFDesktop?managerid=9e74c20e-21cf- 4f11-bcca-c55c57915b82">

4. Then, when your lenders and/or appraisers visit your web site, they can click this link to login to your private branded Appraisal Firewall web site.

How to Setup and Use Your Own UCDP Lender Agent Credentials

If you private label and resell Appraisal Firewall, you can register to become a UCDP Lender Agent if you have not already. This makes the private label more complete: when your clients submit to UCDP, they are submitting under your lender agent account.

1. Register to become a UCDP Lender Agent (if you haven't already). Use these links.

2. Once you are registered, you need to enter the credentials given to you by the GSEs to submit to UCDP from Appraisal Firewall on behalf of your lenders.

3. Login to your Appraisal Firewall account.

4. Once logged in, click the gear icon located at the upper left-hand side of the screen. This opens your Management and Credit Card Processing screen.

5. Find the UCDP Direct Integration Credentials section. Then, enter the Username and Password given to you by either Veros or your GSE account representative.

How to Setup and Use Your Own FHA EAD Lender Agent Credentials

1. Once a Lender Admin completes the registration process from the Veros website, you will receive an email invitation to create an EAD portal user account for your lender agent company. Complete the Self Registration.

2. Create a Business Unit hyperlink for the EAD portal system to create your business unit.

3. Once your registration is complete, you need to enter the credentials as created to submit to FHA EAD from Appraisal Firewall on behalf of your lenders.

4. Login to your Appraisal Firewall account.

5. Once logged in, click the gear icon located at the upper left-hand side of the screen. This opens your Management and Credit Card Processing screen.

6. Find the FHA EAD Direct Integration Credentials section. Then, enter the Username and Password created by you or your GSE account representative.

7. Save your changes.

1. Login to your Appraisal Firewall account.

2. Once logged in, click the gear icon located at the upper left-hand side of the screen. This opens your Management and Credit Card Processing screen.

3. Just below the UCDP Direct Integration Credentials section, you will find the Email Settings field.

4. Enter information about your company, your services, or any other messaging you want to deliver to your lenders and appraisers into the Email Settings section. This text will then be included on all emails that come out of Appraisal Firewall, including system generated notifications and manually sent email messages.

5. Save your changes.

How to Setup Your Own Click Agreement for Your Lenders and Appraisers

You can have your own click agreement developed for your clients and your appraisers. This click agreement governs their interaction with your private labeled version of the Appraisal Firewall web site. You can include information on privacy, appropriate usage, fees, AMC licensing info (if applicable), and any other appropriate content for your client agreement.

When you include a custom click agreement, your clients and appraisers will be presented with your click agreement after a successful login, but before they continue using the system. They will need to agree to the included terms.

Please note that only PDF-formatted documents can be uploaded.

1. Login to your Appraisal Firewall account.

2. Once logged in, click the gear icon located at the upper left-hand side of the screen. This opens your Management and Credit Card Processing screen.

3. Find the Custom Click Agreement section.

4. Check the Use Custom Click Agreement checkbox.

5. Then, upload your PDF-formatted copy of your client agreement that binds your clients' and appraisers' usage of this web site to your agreed upon terms.

6. Click Save.
