When you open a file from any Dashboard list, the file opens into the Request Detail. XOLX locks the file so different users cannot be in the same file at the same time, unless an override is utilized.

Important Note on File Locking
XOP and XOLX communicate with each other, so if an updater/processor has any file open in XOP, the file is locked and other users cannot access it from XOLX or XOP. The same works the other way around: if an updater/processor has the file open in XOLX, the file is locked, and other users cannot access it from XOLX or XOP.
If another user has file locked the order you are viewing, an overlay will be presented where you will see the username of the individual initially in the file. You can choose from two options: Read Only or Override. For more information on how to lock a file, refer to our Locking a File article.
Opening a File from the Supplements Tab
When you open a file from the Supplements tab, you will be taken directly into the Supplement so you can begin your work immediately. The account detail will be appended to the Supplement request below. For additional information on working in Supplements, refer to our How to Quickly Work on Single Supplements article.
Opening a File from the All Orders Tab
When you open a file from the Workflow tab, All Orders or dynamic Search tab, you will be taken to the top of the Request Detail page. Here you will view summary information, client instructions, and the rest of the account detail. This is where you will perform any customer service work and can view all the bureau data that went into the file, including the raw bureau data.
- Hover over the menu at left to view actions you can do on the file.
- Click the Dashboard button to close and unlock the file and return to the main Dashboard.
- View the reference number, borrower name, and SSN at top.
- View the Request Information data to get basic information about the file, including the Origin of the file (if it was ordered through an LOS or the XOL Client Side).
- View the Client Information data to get basic information about the client and user that ordered the file. Click the linked Client Email or User Name to send that corresponding user an email.
- View the Client Instructions for specific customer service information pertinent to Supplement requests.
Navigation Menu
When you hover over the menu at left, more actions that you can take on the file are available to you. Available options include:
- Modify Request
- TU Quick Check
- Edit Log

Request Details Tab Carousel
As you work your way through the Request Detail, you will see the credit report organized into various data tabs for easy identification, review and editing.
Each tab of similar data content may have slightly different functionality available based on the type of data that in the section. At a quick glance, you will notice a number on each tab indicating how many data items are in that section. For more information about working in the tab view, refer to our Request Details Tab Carousel article.
While working through the file, you can also take the following actions:
- Change or Upgrade a Product
- Repull Bureaus and Unfreeze Pins
- Canceling or Reverting a Bureau
- Reset Trade Information
- UDM Tool
Billing
Access the Billing tab to view and reconcile all billing items for this request. You can add charges, credits and payments directly from the Billing tab. For more information about accessing billing, check out our Billing Screen article.
