Tips and Tricks to Help Get Completed
Tax Transcripts Faster

We monitor the IRS site 24-7, so it’s probably redundant to report that their e-Services site is up and down throughout the day, making the delivery of completed transcripts inconsistent.  Our monitoring has revealed a couple key points that we wanted to share with you that may help you get your transcripts in a more consistent manner.

Please keep in mind that we have no control over the IRS sites or how they interact with TVP (remember – there is no system-to-system interface).  We continue to monitor and adjust TVP and the IRS Processor as we learn more about the IRS e-Services site and Secure Access changes.

Security PIN Expiration
As you may be aware, the PIN that the IRS sends to authenticate your login will expire after a period of time. Once you receive it, you should enter the PIN as quickly as possible into TVP to avoid any issues.

The Timing that the IRS Processor Runs
The IRS e-Services site experiences peak volume during regular business hours. In conversations with the IRS, they have recommended accessing the e-Services site during off-peak hours for more consistent results. With this in mind, consider running your IRS Processor earlier in the morning, or the later in the evening.
