Final Switch to Require TLSv1.1 and Higher Planned for June 30th, 2018 |
|
Thanks to your help, we have identified many interfaces, and users of old operating systems and web browsers, to have them upgrade in anticipation of the switch to TLSv1.1 and higher. The switch to only support TLSv1.1 and higher going forward is scheduled for June 30th, 2018. As you know, moving off TLSv1.0 and only supporting TLSv1.1 and higher will increase security around your data, and all SharperLending applications, including:- XpertOnline credit reporting system
- Appraisal Firewall real estate appraisal platform
- TVP and TRV Provider tax verification systems
- ReadyQual prequalification platform
- EPN bundled services platform
The dry-run switches helped identify multiple vendors and users of old operating systems and web browsers. However, there still may be some interfaces and users of old OS’s and browsers that will be impacted by this switch. If you are contacted about a possible system issue due to this switch, please let SharperLending Technical Support know right away at (800) 452-1174 Option 2, or Tickets@SharperLending.com so we can work with them to resolve issues.
Additionally, these operating system and browser versions will no longer be supported with this TLS switch on June 30th:- Any version of Windows below Windows v7 (Windows v7 is supported)
- Any version of Internet Explorer below v11 (IE v11 is supported)
For your information, TLSv1.2 is the most secure version of TLS to connect to us with. We will continue to support TLSv1.1 until it is retired, but the more interface vendors that connect to us with TLSv1.2, the more secure your data, as TLSv1.2 is the current TLS encryption standard. We are making this transition to ensure we have the highest level of security around data and systems. |
