Upcoming Changes for IVES Participants
The IRS has announced a couple upcoming changes for IVES participants. We wanted to remind you about them to make sure you know that 1) we are aware of them as well, and 2) we are working to ensure that there is as minimal an impact as possible on your TRV business.
Sunday, October 14th, 2018: Updated e-Services User Agreement
The IRS will have an updated e-Services user agreement for all IVES Participants. They plan to release the updated agreement on Sunday, October 14th, 2018, so it will likely impact you starting Monday morning, October 15th.
We suggest that, Monday morning, October 15th, you log directly into the IRS mailbox (on the IRS site), and accept the agreement. As we understand it, once you login to the IRS mailbox, you will automatically be prompted to accept the new agreement. Once you accept the click agreement, you can then login to TVP to start the IRS processor and begin downloading completed transcripts.
Here is the IRS announcement regarding the upcoming revised agreement:

In light of updates to your IRS agreement, we wanted to remind you that:
- We do not store your e-Services username, password, or PIN in TVP or TRV Provider.
- It is up to you to make sure your clients know that your company uses an Intermediate Service Provider for tax transcripts.
January 1st, 2019: Redacted Transcripts
The IRS has announced changes coming on January 1st, 2019. The main changes include:
- An updated 4506-T form.
- Returning redacted transcripts.
We are working on these changes now and will keep you posted on their progress. We will have you ready well in advance of these IRS changes.
