You and your clients can use the TVP system to place IRS tax transcript requests using the SignEasy eSignature feature. When users place orders in the system and do not have a wet signed 4506C, they can request an eSignature from the borrower on an auto-generated 4506C. This manual shares the process of requesting an eSignature through TVP, how the request is processed on the TRV Provider side, and the steps the borrower takes to provide their eSignature.
Login Screen
To place a request for a tax transcript, begin by logging into your TVP account. At the TVP login page, enter your credentials and click Submit.
Once successfully logged in, you will be presented with your orders dashboard, which lists all orders placed by you and your clients.
New Order
If you are creating a tax transcript request with eSignature order on a new loan, select New Order along the left hand side of your account. Click New Order to place the order on a new reference number.
Start by selecting the client and branch the order should be placed under.
Once a client and branch have been selected, click Add New TRV to select the forms you are requesting.
In the pop up box that appears, select the form you are requesting, the years for which you are requesting the transcript, appropriate applicant type, and the signature type. Click ‘Request eSignature from Borrower’ if you do not have a signed 4506C and want to request a digital eSignature from the borrower. Click Save to continue filling out order information.
Please note: ‘Request eSignature from Borrower’ is only available if the eSignature Service has been enabled for the client. You can access this setting within Client Setup.
Additional fields such as borrower/co-borrower/company information will automatically update to required fields on the order form depending on the selections made here. For example, when requesting an eSignature, a borrower email address is required.
After you have entered order information, you may add additional form requests by clicking the Add New TRV link again. When finished entering all your order information, click Order.
SharperLending gathers the information that was entered on the order form and creates a digital 4506C for every form that was ordered with ‘Request eSignature from Borrower’ selected. You do not need to upload a 4506C file when using the borrower eSignature feature.
Once an order with a request for a borrower signature has been successfully placed, log into the TRV Provider platform to move to the next step of approving a 4506C for eSignature.
