You can use the Get Next button to automatically find the next file that needs work and assign it to yourself. With the click of 1-button, you can begin working on the next outstanding file.

Content Includes:

Note: using the Get Next button assigns the entire file - all supplements - to you.  If you want to work on single supplements across multiple files, click here to view the article on How to Work on a Single Supplement

The Get Next button can be found in the Search Orders widget and is represented as the Person-Arrow icon, highlighted in red here.

How It Works

When a Processor clicks the Get Next button to begin working on a file, XOLX automatically does the following:

  • Finds the oldest unassigned supplement in a Requested status.
  • Assigns that file and all Supplements on that file to the Processor.
    • Please note: this action does not assign currently locked files, however files that have been locked for more than three hours will be available in the Get Next queue.
  • Opens the file directly into the Supplements section to begin their work.

If there is no work that is outstanding, no files will be assigned to the Processor.

Additional Supplements and Get Next

Additionally, if the client requests an additional supplement after the file has been assigned to a Processor via Get Next, that additional supplement will be automatically assigned to that same Processor UNLESS ALL SUPPLEMENTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED on the file.

If all supplements have been completed on the file, and an additional supplement is requested from the client, the supplement will go back into the Get Next queue for assignment.

Please Note: If the Processor uses Get Next and then adds an additional supplement to the file from XOLX, they need to be sure and Take Ownership of that newly added supplement.

Working on Supplements

Click Get Next to be assigned to the entire file and open the file to the Disputes/Supplements tab to start your work.

Should you need to remove the attachment, select the red X.
