Equifax OMS Issue Remediated
As many of you are aware, Equifax experienced a coding miscalculation in certain scoring attributes affecting the Equifax legacy online model platform (OMS). This transgression took place from Thursday, March 17th, 2022, through Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, affecting approximately 12% of all files pulled during the specified date range. While the scores may have been inaccurate, no underlying credit data was affected. Additionally, Equifax has confirmed that all files pulled during the timeframe were affected, regardless of how the requests were formatted, which include the SharperLending connection to Equifax’s Cloud API.
SharperLending has been notified that the Equifax teams are currently analyzing all affected mortgage transactions and will provide CRA-specific transaction details. Please note: the CRA-specific transaction information will be administered directly from Equifax. Analysis is expected to be completed no later than the week of May 23rd, 2022.
Please contact your Equifax representative for any questions or concerns regarding this event.
