The SharperLending TRV product (Tax Return Verification) enables you to order tax transcripts easily and efficiently. You can request personal or business transcripts, and order for multiple years. Completed transcripts are easily retrieved within your Encompass® account. Use this instructional guide to assist you in placing orders for TRV within the Encompass® by ICE Mortgage Technology® Inc. platform. 


Within your Encompass® account, locate the loan you are working on, select Services along top tool bar, and then choose Verifications to select the SharperLending TRV vendor.



On the Verifications screen, select Sharperlending 4506T. If the My Providers tab does not automatically display SharperLending, you can locate and select SharperLending on the All Providers tab.


Once you have selected SharperLending, click Submit.



After you have selected SharperLending as your TRV vendor, use the Order Verification screen to enter order details.


Login Information

Enter your SharperLending login credentials here. Click the Save Log In Information checkbox to save your login information for future TRV orders. Contact your SharperLending provider if you do not have access to these credentials.


Loan Information

This section displays basic information about the current loan file you are working on.


Order Income Verification Tab

  • Products – Mark the checkbox next to the product(s) you are ordering.
  • Report On – Choose borrower, co-borrower, joint, or business from the drop down menu.
  • Select Transcript Years – Choose one or more years you are requesting transcripts for.
  • Company Name – Enter the company where the borrower is employed.
  • EIN – Enter the Employer Identification Number of the borrower.
  • Attach Authorization Form – Include the borrower’s signed 4506T.
  • Notification Email - The Notification Email will automatically populate if one is available, however, TRV orders do not notify you when the transcript is available. Read below for information on retrieving completed orders.


Once you have entered all order information, click Submit Order to place your request for tax transcript(s).


You can always view the status of your order and retrieve returned transcripts by clicking the Check Status/View Result tab on the Order Verification screen. After you have selected the tab, click View Messages to review any messages sent from the SharperLending TRV system. Click Check Status to see if the TRV transcript has been returned. Because Encompass® does not email you when a transcript is ready for viewing, you will need to check the status daily. Returned transcripts will be available in the Documents Returned menu.



Check Status/View Result Tab

  • Order No - Each request for transcript (W2, 1040, etc.) for the borrower will have a unique order number. Select the order and click on the Check Status button to retrieve the report. Please note: Clicking Check Status is the only way for an Encompass® user to import the file into the Encompass system.
  • Order Date – Displays the date the order was placed.
  • Request Details – Displays the product and the years that were ordered.
  • Status – Current status of the order.
  • Documents Returned – View any documents associated with the order number selected (Note: You will first need to select the order and click Check Status to receive documents regarding that order number.)
  • View Messages – Review messages that have been sent by the SharperLending TRV vendor.
