We are excited to release a new Checkup credit report comparison tool for all your LQI compliance needs. Make sure you know about all new debt, public records, collections, and other key data elements that may affect loan closing in one simple, easy-to-use comparison report.

Key Enhancements to the Checkup Tool

The key enhancements to the new version of Checkup include:

  • Moving it out of flash and into standard HTML for easier access from the client side as well as the PDF credit report links.
  • We have stripped away the unused functionality that surrounded it – namely, the Pulse product – so that your clients get a streamlined, direct, easy-to-use experience.
  • Administrator users can decide what data to include, and what data to suppress.

Here is a sample of what you and your clients can expect with the new Checkup tool.

As you know, Checkup makes it easy for lenders to quickly review new debt. It compares the credit report ordered at the time the loan application was taken with a report pulled just before closing, then compares the two reports to identify any new debt that may have been accumulated by the borrower.

Working with the New Checkup

Login to www.XpertOnline.net to click the Checkup link. The link will look like this on the client side:

When the Checkup link is clicked, this screen opens, where you can compare the current report data with existing report data, or you can order a new Checkup report to compare it with the current data.

Comparing with Compatible Existing Reports

The Checkup report automatically locates any possible matching credit reports that are not archived based on borrower’s name and SSN. If you want to compare to an existing report, and avoid an additional credit report charge, click the down arrow to the right of any report listed here to compare the compatible report’s data with that of the currently-selected report’s data.

Optionally, you can configure Checkup with several options that will suppress data on the resulting comparison. Please note that only Administrator level users will have access to the Hide Scores, Only Show New Debt, Only Show New Collections, and More Options… link. For quality assurance, Supervisor users and standard users will not be able to configure these items.

  • Hide Scores - check this box if you want to suppress the borrower scores on the report that you are comparing with.
  • Only show new debt – check this box if you want to limit the amount of data you view so that only any debt incurred from the date the original report was ordered until today is shown.
  • Only show new collections – check this box if you want to limit the amount of data you view so that only any collections incurred from the date the original report was ordered until today is shown.
  • All Options – click this link to view over 15 optionally configurable options that you can apply to the Checkup comparison.

Here is how the results will display when you compare the current report with a compatible existing report:

The Checkup reports are the same no matter if you pull a new report or compare with an existing compatible report: when the data returns, Checkup will automatically take the existing consumer data and compare it with the new data, as is shown in the Then and the Now columns. The Change column lets you know at a glance if any new debt has been incurred by the borrower since the original credit report was pulled.

Select any of these checkboxes, then Save to return to Checkup. You can then click the Refresh Report button to see your changes.

Ordering a New Checkup Report for Comparison

Usually, when you are ready to run a Checkup report, you will want to order a New Report so that the borrower data you are comparing the older report against is as current as possible.

When you click New Report, you will be prompted with this screen.

A new consumer credit report will be ordered (Lookback will not be performed) and the data that is returned will be compared with the original data (when the first report was ordered) on-screen. The full PDF credit report will be available on the client side of XpertOnline.net in your Report List.

Optionally, you can configure Checkup with several options that will suppress data on the resulting comparison. Please note that only Administrator users will have access to the Hide Scores, Only Show New Debt, Only Show New Collections, and More Options… link.

You will need to check the I Agree to be Billed checkbox to place your order. Once you check this checkbox, the New Credit Report button will become activated, and you can click it to place the order.

When the data returns, Checkup will automatically take the existing consumer data and compare it with the brand new data, as is shown in the Then and the Now columns. The Change column lets you know at a glance if any new debt has been incurred by the borrower since the original credit report was pulled.

Select any of these checkboxes, then Save to return to Checkup. You can then click the Refresh Report button to see your changes.
