Stuck Items draw attention to items that the IRS has returned that do not match up with an existing order. You can open a stuck item via the Transcripts Stuck feature, search for the order that it is associated with, and assign it to the existing order. Click Upload to manually attach a completed transcript and assign it to an order.
Transcripts Stuck
The number on the right reflects the total number of transcripts stuck in the queue. Clicking the number will open the stuck queue so users can manually allocate the stuck transcripts to their proper order.
Stuck Items
Highlight the transcript or file you would like to assign. Narrow the search for the appropriate order to assign the document to by selecting the Year, Form, or TIN. You can search for 'Pending' or 'Completed' transcript requests by selecting either the Pending or All radio buttons. The Stuck Reason will provide an explanation of why the transcript was directed to the stuck queue.
When you have highlighted the corresponding order, the transcripts are the main list, while items that populate under the transcript selected are the orders that match the search criteria. The icons to the right will allow for different actions: Cancel, Deliver, and View.
- Cancel - Permanently removes the transcript from the stuck items. An overlay will ask YES to continue with removing the item entirely or NO, which will take you back to the previous screen.
- Deliver - Associates the selected transcript with the order selected from the search results. You must highlight one of the orders for the Deliver feature to become enabled.
Upon choosing Deliver, an overlay will appear confirming that you want to attach the mismatched data. YES will attach the transcript withe order, while NO will take you back to the previous screen.
- View - Selecting the View icon will open a new tab, showing the tax return transcript. When viewing the transcript, if necessary, you can download the selected output locally to your machine. Within the subsection (where specific orders are listed) selecting View will open directly to the order details.
Old Stuck Items
The Old Stuck Items tab can be used to search for transcripts that landed in the stuck queue, but have since been downloaded, delivered, etc.
Upload
Selecting the Upload button on the Stuck Items widget will allow you to manually upload a transcript locally.
- NEW ATTACHMENT - Opens your files locally.
- DRAG NEW ATTACHMENT HERE - Drag and drop a file from your local machine.
- Attachment Description - Displays the name of the file.
The system will display a Transcript Upload overlay to state that the transcript was uploaded successfully.
